This charming medium-sized dog possesses a delightful and affectionate nature, making him an ideal companion. Fergus, although occasionally exuberant in his greetings, is actively working on controlling his enthusiasm and tendency to jump up during interactions.

His love for people is evident, and he particularly enjoys cuddles. While he may not be gentle with soft toys, Fergus finds joy in playing with his ball and chewy toys.

Known for his lively and intelligent disposition, Fergus adapts well to various situations. He displays a friendly and playful attitude towards other dogs, making him an excellent companion for canine friends.

Fergus excels in off-lead walks and has a reliable recall. On a lead, he walks well, although his eagerness to befriend other dogs may lead to some pulling.

Fergus extends his amiable nature to everyone, including children, exhibiting no signs of aggression in any situation. Fully house-trained, he can be left alone for a few hours without issue.

At home, Fergus is laid-back, enjoying moments of snoozing. Surprisingly quiet, he seldom barks, even in response to doorbells or other dogs’ barking.

This delightful dog has a mild fear of loud noises, such as thunderstorms and noisy vehicles, seeking refuge under tables during such events.

To ensure Fergus’s happiness, an active family that includes him in various activities and avoids leaving him alone for extended periods would be ideal. He thrives in a sociable environment and can happily coexist with other friendly dogs, as well as older, dog-savvy children.

Prospective adopters are encouraged to have experience with rescue dogs, as Fergus, like all rescues, requires time, patience, love, and commitment to blossom into a well-balanced canine companion.

First-time owners need not apply. Fergus, currently located in Dumfries and Galloway, welcomes visits by arrangement.

Fergus comes fully vaccinated, neutered, and treated for fleas and ticks. Additionally, he possesses an EU passport. Adoption is contingent upon a home check and an adoption fee, with a complete Responsible Breeding Unit (RBU) provided.
