Flame – 4 year old male Greyhound

Flame is a stunning Greyhound boy just coming up to 4 years old. Flame is a typically laid back cheeky Greyhound boy. Out and about on walks Flame is still a little interested in smaller and other breeds of dogs but he has not long since retired from racing so caution does need to be taken whilst introducing him and gentle socialisation until he adapts to the big world out there. We feel Flame would love a home with the company of a female greyhound but with someone around all or most of the time to settle him in in the first instance could learn to live as an only dog. He was kennelled with Kay but she started to be a bit mean to him which he just accepted bless him so we took her out. Flame is NOT cat friendly. Flame works hard to keep his kennel clean in fact he is one of the cleanest most settled dogs we have in the kennel so housetraining would not be an issue. Flame travels like a dream and can be rehomed with dog savy children 6 years and upwards.

Greyhound Gap
Greyhound Gap

Greyhound Gap is a small independent charity set up to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome greyhounds and lurchers who find themselves in a ‘put to sleep’ situation in UK pounds. Funded almost entirely by donations, we rehome around 150 dogs each year. We can have around 40-50 dogs at any one time in our kennels based in Kidsgrove, Stoke on Trent and a further 30-40 in foster homes. Greyhound Gap operates on a national basis so our dogs can be homed throughout the UK subject to a suitable home visit being carried out.

If you are interested in adopting a dog from Greyhound Gap, we would ask that in the first instance you could take a few moments to complete our pre-adoption questionnaire if you have not already done so: http://www.greyhoundgap.org.uk/our-dogs/pre-adoption-questionnaire
