Hi… I’m Floki.
I’m a 5 year old medium size cross breed boy.
For 3.5 years, I’ve been living in a shelter in Hungary, that’s more than half my life spent waiting behind a fence, hoping someone might stop… might notice me… might choose me. But no one ever has. Sometimes I feel invisible. I’m only 5 years old.
I’m not loud or demanding. I’m patient and quiet. I’m the kind of dog who waits in silence and hopes that one day someone will see the good boy I truly am and will not walk past me.
I love my walks, and I walk beautifully on the lead. I enjoy sniffing the world and feeling the sun on my back. I love hoomans—every scratch behind the ears and every cuddle means the world to me, because I get so little affection here.
But I treasure every moment. I never take kindness for granted.
I’m calm and peaceful around other dogs. I don’t want trouble; I just want love.
And although my muzzle is beginning to grey, please don’t think I’m old. I’m still young, playful in my soft and gentle way, and I dream—every single day—of having a home, a bed of my own, and a family who finally calls me theirs.
I have spent so long waiting, but I haven’t given up.
I still believe my person is out there.
