Floyd is a 9 year old male Golden Retriever boy in Gloucestershire living in family home with another dog and teenagers. He is from working lines hence his difference look. He is unfortunately up for rehoming due to a change in circumstances of his family. I personally know this boy really well too as I dog walk him.
Floyd is lovely, he has been with his family since a puppy. He received Gun Dog training when he was younger so is very well trained, he has an excellent recall, good with other dogs and people but no to cats.
He travels well and is used to being left. He has always lived with other dogs so would be nice for him to have another home with dogs but its not set in stone.
He walks lovely on the lead, a very active boy, not a coach potato so would benefit from a fairly active home. Nothing negative to say about him he is a very straight forward boy – obviously a period of adjustment for him when his whole world changes but somebody is going to be very blessed to home this boy.
Floyd has not been neutered yet but we are arranging for this to happen next week so he will need to recover, he has also started his course of vaccinations again. We will make sure he receives current flea and worm treatment too.
I would love Floyd to fine a very special home somewhere in the country with people who are around – he is a special boy and needs a special home.
