Foltos is an 8 year old medium size male Cross-Breed with short thick red and white coat that does not need much TLC. He was surrendered and returned to a kill shelter to be destroyed after his elderly owner died. Luckily he was saved before his time had come.
He used to live inside the house with his owner and now he’s been living in an outside kennel at a rescue center for the past 9 months… Foltos gets on well with every dog in the shelter but he’s slightly restrained and clearly does not belong there. He should be spending his days in a warm family home instead of a shelter with hundreds of other dogs…
He is friendly with humans, likes being around people and would do anything for a nice cuddle. He’s compatible with all dogs, male and female, but he’s not much interested or bothered by them. Among his kennel mates he is the boss but he is not aggressive and never goes further than a growl as a warning with any dog. He would probably rather spend time with his humans and have a nice tummy rub if he could choose. He walks fine on the lead but he is not getting regular walks. As he lived in a home environment before we suspect he would be house clean in his new home or could be retrained quite quickly.
He travelled calmly in the car in a travel crate. He’s also been tested with cats and he passed the test. Foltos would be best suited for a family without children who are happy to spend precious time with him and would not leave him alone for long periods. He only needs love and attention and some walkies or doggie activities with his family to experience the bright side of life after shelter life. He could live with a friendly doggie mate but he would probably be happiest living with his family to care for him only.
Foltos is currently in Hungary and can travel to the UK as soon as the right family’s found for him. He comes fully vaccinated, neutered, microchipped, dewormed, flea and tick treated, with an EU passport and DEFRA approved paperwork. Adoption is subject to Home Check and Adoption Fee.
