George is a lovely big, black 9 year old gentleman. George is now in foster just outside Glasgow and is looking for a forever home. After a fairly nervous start George is proving to be a gentle giant and has settled in very quickly. When I say “giant” I do not mean that he’s enormous, he’s just quite tall with a big head, but he does need a bit of filling out as he’s a bit too lean at the moment.
Personality wise he is a big softie and now follows me everywhere (including to the the bathroom bless him). He is fed separately to the rest of my dogs but only because I want to make sure he is getting all his own dinner (and I feed all my bigger dogs individually just from a safety point of view). It’s still fairly early days into his assessment as he’s not even been here for a week yet, but I am sure that given a little time and patience he will make someone the best and most loyal companion.
We have started some lead work and although he’s a little reluctant at the moment we are making good progress. I can see a George in a number of homes but think he would be best suited to a quieter one with someone that leads a nice steady lifestyle, with gentle strolls and lots of snuggles and ear scratching as George loves snuggles and ear scratching.
If you think you can provide Gentle George with his perfect retirement home please pop onto our website at and complete a pre adoption questionnaire (2nd form down in the contact us section).
