George is a 8 year old male Labrador Cross. He was rescued in Cyprus and is now in the UK hoping to find his forever home. Whilst we cannot be 100% certain, he does look to be a Labrador. He is currently living with his foster mum in Ashington, very near Newcastle Upon Tyne. Here is a little about him from his foster mum.
George is a sweet guy, funny and cheeky, but underneath a real softy and loves nothing better than to have loads of cuddles, massages and kisses. He is very food orientated and excitable with wagging tail and much enthusiasm but will sit and wait until told to eat. George is neither food nor toy aggressive and plays with gusto shaking his soft toys and loves his squeaky toys. He would play forever with a ball if you let him.
George does react sometimes to other dogs, bicycles, motorbikes and appears to be wary of children he is checked with a small tug on the lead and it goes no further. Off lead, George ignores most other dogs and will happily play, and his recall is really good. Sometimes if we are in the wood it may take a couple of minutes for him to return if he has a scent of a deer or rabbit. I do use a halti as George does pull on a regular lead or harness.
George absolutely loves the beach and any water, river, sea (he is great swimmer) and dirty puddles. George has be left for about 4 hours but I make sure that he has been out for his ablutions and a walk before I leave him and have had only one instance the first time he was left and since then when I return things are as I left them.
It only leaves me to say that George is an absolute pleasure to have as a foster and with time a patience he will continue to progress. If you can help George achieve his dream home, please contact us. He has been neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. Minimum adoption donation £300.
ADOPTION IS SUBJECT TO HOME CHECK.
