Gizmo is a small 2 year old male Chihuahua Cross. He is being fostered in an adult home in Kent after being found as a stray in Spain. He has been with us over a month now and is nothing like the little boy who arrived.
As the weeks have gone by, under his foster homes care with time and patience he has developed into a cracking little dog. He has a big personality and nobody told him he was little, he adores other dogs and although living as an only dog, his foster home is a Home Boarder and they have quite a few dogs come and stay and he loves them all.
He has got used to walking on the lead, travelling in the car, sleeps well at night and is now fully house trained. He loves playing and is full of fun, he is not an old person’s dog if that makes sense. He would probably make a cracking little family dog with teenagers.
He can be wary at first of new people and particularly bonded to his Aunty Adele but men it has taken a few weeks to bond with the man in the house, he still now even barks if his Uncle Tony gets up too quickly but this will improve over time.
He is off the lead now and getting there with recall but he does like to say hello to other dogs so not quite there with his selective hearing at times.
We really feel this little dog’s perfect fit would be a young retired couple, or a family home with older children and with another dog for him to play with. He is not the dog to be left at home for hours on his own he would not cope he needs to be with people who are mostly around.
He sleeps at night on the bed and we would be seeking a home that would let him continue that. We also are seeking a home where they have had rescued dogs before.
Gizmo has been neutered, vaccinated and has his own Pet Passport. Please get in touch by email for our questionnaire if you think you are a good match.
