Gizzi – 2 year old male Cross-Breed

Starfish Dog Rescue Gloucestershire January 18, 2021

Gizzi is a 2 year old male Cross-Breed. He is a small boy being fostered in an adult home in Kent. Little Gazzi’s story started in Spain, where he was found a stray on the streets. He was lucky enough to find himself saved by the rescue we worked with, and also a lovely foster home where he lived as part of the family with many dogs.

GREAT NEWS! This Dog Has Now Been Rehomed

Gizmo has now joined Starfish with his foster family Aunty Adele. He is settling in well and this is what his foster mummy saids about him:

Hi everyone! I’ve been in my foster home now one whole week and my foster mummy says I’m a good boy as I have not peed in the house for 3 whole days! I need a home where I can cuddle up to my humans and even sleep at the bottom of your bed.

I love my food, walks, a nice garden to explore in, teddies, yaks, other doggies and even little people aren’t that bad, but not too young. I travel well in the car and happy as long as I am with my humans. I am not too happy with lorries, people who make loud noises or bangs scare me too, and don’t like being left alone for very long.

I prefer ladies to men but would grow to love them both in time. I am fully neutered.

If you think you are my perfect companion/s please contact Starfish Dog Rescue for an application form.

Gizmo needs a home with people who have owned a rescue dog before as he has his little quirks, he is not going to suit a working home as he really is a companion dog. We are getting used to being left and this is improving all the time. We have not tested him with children but with him being nervous of loud noises etc at times he is not going to suit a family home. He is only young so needs someone who is still fit and active. This has to be his last home as he will bond very closely with his person.

Gizmo has been neutered, vaccinated and has his own Pet Passport. Please get in touch by email for our questionnaire if you think you are a good match.

For further details regarding one of our dogs please email us at starfishdogrescue@hotmail.co.uk for our application form - we are only a small rescue and we get to know our dogs properly before they are put up for adoption, we work with two rescues in Spain for the last 7 years and also travel to Spain to meet the dogs and assess them before we agreed to take them as we are a foster based rescue - we also help the local dogs in Gloucestershire and also link to a local Pound in Bristol that we help, we do take our time and make sure its the right match and put as much detail as we can in their write up what sort of home will suit that particular dog. All our dogs are neutered if old enough, fully vaccinated, chipped and blood tested - they go out with a full vet history, all homes will be home checked without exception and you will be expected to travel to meet the dogs we never deliver dogs. We are small rescue solely run by volunteers. You can see more of our work on our facebook site and website under Starfish Dog Rescue.
