Goldie is a 2 year old female Cross-Breed. She is truly one of our miracle dogs. Born July 2017, we rescued her from the worst shelter we have ever been to and took her to a rehab centre to recover. Whilst she is almost a different dog, we still would like her to go to a quieter home with an experienced dog owner. Goldie is still a little shy, but she can be handled, picked up, petted and walks on a leash. We had never dreamed that she would recover so well. She really needs someone who will give her the love and patience she needs.
From her foster mum in UK: Delightful wee dog who howls at me when her food is late arriving. Has come out of her shell and is always in the lead when out walking, whereas earlier she just stuck by my side. Size in inches/cm (length from base of neck to base of tail): 36cm. Size in inches/cm (height from floor to top of shoulder): 29 cm. She is a bit wary men and women, but once she knows them, she is absolutely fine. Pulls on long lead, but that’s because she enjoys her walks, will calm down when told – eventually.
She doesn’t bark much, unless triggered (or if someone stands up suddenly). She has no food aggression. She’s taken a while to come out of her shell, didn’t used to like coming through doorways, but is getting better with those. She would prefer to be an only dog and where there are no children. But most of the time she’s a confident and happy little dog. Occasionally she’ll tell another dog off. But I think she’ll be happier in her own home, without competition.
Fostered in Southampton.
