Grace is a 3-month-old female dog, a small cross breed, currently residing in a private shelter in Romania. She has received her vaccinations, including DHPPi/RL and KC vaccines, and has undergone blood testing.

Grace is also microchipped and receives regular flea and worm treatments. Currently unspayed due to her age, she awaits a caring and understanding home that can support her in her development.

Grace, along with her sister Ruby, was found roaming at the side of the road and is currently under the care of rescuer Andreea Berar. While in rescue, Grace has not displayed any behavioural issues.

However, it is acknowledged that the transition from shelter to a home environment may bring about different assessments and challenges. Grace will need time, patience, and support to adjust to her new surroundings.

Specific areas requiring attention include toilet training and lead training, suggesting that she would benefit from beginner training classes with her new owner to strengthen their bond.

To facilitate a smooth transition, Grace should be given a few days to explore her new house and garden before introducing the harness and leads gradually.

It is emphasised that exercise should not be the main focus during this initial period, allowing her to acclimatise to her new environment, including people, sounds, scents, and sensations.

In terms of compatibility, Grace has lived with other dogs in the shelter, showing a positive disposition towards them. However, her interaction with cats has not been tested in the shelter environment.

Grace’s health has improved significantly since her rescue, with treatment addressing her initial coat condition. Ongoing care includes a coat supplement and regular flea treatment.

The ideal home for Grace would be calm, providing structure and time for her to decompress from the move. A secure garden with at least a 5ft boundary is recommended to ensure her safety.

For potential adopters, it’s important to note that an application and checks are mandatory. If selected, a 90-minute adoption chat and a home check will be part of the process to ensure the best match for Grace’s well-being.
