Gunny is approximately two years old and is a Staffordshire Bull Terrier cross. His previous owner suffered from drug problems and abandoned Gunny a year ago when he was going into rehab. He left this poor boy tied to a park railing and simply walked away. Witnesses at the park said that poor Gunny was howling, barking after his owner. When he realized his owner wasn’t coming back he gave up and lay down whimpering. He was collected by the dog warden and put into the local, council operated, dog pound.
There he served his 7 days and was, obviously, not reclaimed. He hit the put to sleep list and at that point, a sister organisation in London stepped in and offered him a rescue space. He has been with him for a year now with no interest in anybody rehoming him. All Dogs Matter and I discussed this and decided we would give him a chance in Scotland.
