Harry – 3 year old male Staffordshire Bull Terrier Cross

Hello! My name’s Harry. I’m a three year old Staffordshire Bull Terrier cross. I’ve been waiting for 6 long months in kennels for someone to fall in love with me. I don’t understand why no-one wants me because I’m a really good boy and I have SO MUCH love to give. I have a lovely calm, gentle nature, and I’m very affectionate in an unassuming way. I am quite shy with new people, but I really do want a human to love and snuggle up with. I really enjoy going for walks, exploring the neighborhood, and I walk nicely on the lead. I love to play too.

[rehomed]

If you throw a ball for me, I’ll fetch it and drop it in exchange for a treat. I like to play footy with my human friends too, and I’ve been having great fun jumping over poles in the paddock at my new kennels. I’m a little bit grumpy with some male dogs I’ve not met before when they come too near to me as I’m a bit frightened. I just need my new owner to take me out more and socialize me with other dogs so I learn not to be nervous. I should be fine to live with another female dog though as I have done before.

I’m good with children as well. But I don’t like cats so wouldn’t be able to live with one! I really love traveling in the car. A human pal of mine took me to a garden center the other day for an outing, and she strapped me in on the seat next to her. I just curled up in a ball and dozed off. I could still hear her saying I was a good boy though and enjoy her stroking my head now and again.

We had cake and ice-cream at the garden centre. Im hoping she’ll take me again soon! I am neutered, fully vaccinated and micro-chipped, and First Step Dog Rescue offer me back up for life. I need a home with a secure garden and can only go to live with a family with children of 5 years or older.

A home check and donation applies if you would like to adopt me. If you’d like to meet me, please call.
