Harry – 1-2 year old male Cross-Breed

Harry is a 1-2 year old male Cross-Breed. He is currently in foster in Scotland (Glasgow area). He is a medium sized dog approx. 19kgs he is just below knee height on an adult. He is neutered, chipped and fully vaccinated. He is first home failed as he became a little ‘too bouncy’ and playful with the resident dog and cats. So, his next home must have NO CATS and a confident resident dog of similar height so he can learn from.

He was found living in a pack in Romania and has shown that he loves the company of other dogs so a resident dog would be perfect for him. We would like to have visits and intros with the resident dog, if at all possible, to make sure the match is perfect for everyone. Also, we are looking for an experienced adult only or with children over the age of 16yrs. Like all Romanian rescues he is a little wary of males takes longer to trust them, but his foster says he doesn’t have a problem with them! He can be left for short periods of time and copes best with boundaries in place.

His foster says of Harry: ‘He is a loveable bouncy dog who makes me laugh every single day. Since he has been in foster, he is much more settled and getting along fine with the resident dog who is much smaller than him (a JRT). He is just learning the socialisation ropes and his foster is taking things slowly with him given he has already had 1 home change. He has 4 walks a day between 15 mins and 40 mins and is learning to walk nicely on the lead and to be able to greet other dogs and humans politely.

At the moment he just wants to lick and play with everyone he sees. He is afraid of bikes and needs work with this but so far is doing really well. He tends to pull a bit on lead, therefore we would like an experienced adopter for him, to give him the best start going forward! He is such a happy boy – he shows no aggression at all and is happy to share toys.

All of our dogs come from Romania and have spent time with our Romanian rescuer either in their home or in suitable kennels until adopted. As we are a small rescue we have only a few dogs in foster in the UK, most are direct adoptions from Romania to the UK.

We offer support throughout the whole process as well as after the dog has arrived which is the most important time of all.

We do not adopt to families with resident children under the age of 7yrs. and try where possible to cat test out dogs. Please note, all our dogs have comprehensive blood works as well as being fully vaccinated/microchipped and registered to the new owner.

We also neutered/spayed responsibly and provide full post adoption support. Home check/application form apply as well as telephone/video call.
