Despite her adorable appearance and affectionate nature, she has been overlooked for adoption for over a year. Helena boasts a glossy black coat and a heart full of love, eagerly awaiting to be part of a forever family.

She’s classified as an adolescent dog, approximately two years old, and while her size falls within the medium range, her specific measurements are not provided. Being an adolescent, Helena requires regular exercise and a consistent routine to maintain her well-being.

This lovely girl has been described as patient and tolerant, evident from her ability to coexist with a lively male dog in the shelter. While she enjoys the company of other canines, her true passion lies in human companionship.

Helena thrives on affection and craves interaction with people, displaying friendliness towards everyone she meets. However, she has not been tested with cats, so her compatibility with felines remains uncertain.

Helena’s ideal living situation would be in a semi-rural environment with access to a garden, where she can explore and enjoy outdoor activities.

Currently, Helena is slightly overweight due to a lack of exercise in the shelter environment. However, with a dedicated owner and regular exercise routine, she is expected to regain her optimal weight.

Despite her weight issue, she walks well on a leash and enjoys outdoor adventures. Helena’s future family should have a moderately active lifestyle, providing her with ample opportunities for exercise and enrichment.

While she hasn’t had much exposure to young children, her temperament suggests she could be suitable for kids aged seven and above.

Helena’s dream home would include a family who can offer her plenty of attention and involvement in their daily activities. Although she could adapt to living with or without other dogs, she would thrive in a household where she receives abundant cuddles and companionship.

It’s important for her not to be left alone for extended periods, considering her yearning for human interaction. Helena is healthy and ready for adoption, with all necessary preparations for travel to her forever home.
