Henry is an 8 month old male Cross-Breed. He is in our care since his stray mum gave birth to him and his siblings, but his father is unknown to us. Henry is the leader of his siblings and he likes to be in charge. He is also the only one of the puppies who we heard barking at a gosse while we did the photo shooting with him. Nevertheless he isn’t as confident as he is around his group in new situations or with new people, but this unsecurity dispears as soon as he gains trust and gets to know you.

Then he becomes as naughty as any other puppy too 🙂 We know he will love the cuddles, fun and warmth of a home, he just needs someone to pick him as their new companion. Henry and his other siblings are currently in a boarding kennel in Spain where they are taking very well care of them, but what Henry really needs more than anything is a family.

We don’t know how he is with cats and other small furries and we also can’t test him with them, but he is affectionate, playful and great with other dogs. He is a happy, active boy who loves company. His mum is of medium size, but his father is unknown to us. From his current size, we estimate that he will be about 25 to 35kg when fully grown, as he is the heaviest one, but it also shouldn’t become a problem for you if he grows more than expected.

His future family will need to be patient and understanding as Henry hasn’t been shown what life in a home looks like, how to walk on a lead and go exploring, or how to cope with new situations. He will need guidance and training around new people, and other dogs, on walks and at home, as he will be experiencing all of this for the very first time and may be a little bit shy/nervous at first, but with gentle affection and positive training, we have no doubt this beautiful boy will flourish.

For Henry, we are looking for an active family or person, who is committed to the decision of adopting a puppy and with everything that this implies. That is why we only consider a dog experienced home (NOT first dog owners) who knows how to manage the education, training and socialization of a puppy and also has the time and patience for this. We are looking for an adult-only home or a home without young children (14+), as we want dogs who require more time like himself to be the priority.

Henry is used to be around dogs all his life, but he is dominant, therefore a further submissive dog with who he could play and learn from would be a plus, but he would surely also get used having many doggy friends and be able to have fun with them on his walks, in the case he doesn’t have dog company at home.

Henry is currently in Northern Spain, but cannot wait to travel and discover his new home in Wales or England (NOT Scotland) as soon as the right family or person comes forward. Henry is a gorgeous puppy who deserves to know what it means to have his own family where he will be a further family member, loved and appreciated.

If you’d like to offer him this opportunity and feel you can commit to the next 10-15 years of his care, please get in touch. We would ask that you send some information about your home life, routine, experience with dogs and why you feel Henry is right for you, and we in return will happily explain our adoption process.

TeLuMa’s Dream

For further details regarding adopting a dog from TeLuMa’s Dream, please email Marta, Jessica, Olga or Alicia at telumasdream@gmail.com or visit our website www.telumasdream.co.uk. We are a voluntary organization which rescues primarily dogs from a public pound in Galicia, in Northern Spain, where the dogs instead of living, are trying to survive. 99% of the dogs are strays or have been abandoned by their owners on the street. The dogs are a variety of breeds and come in all shapes and sizes!

We are funded entirely by donations and work hard in our free time to help rescue and rehome as many dogs as possible. With your help we can continue our work and provide food, bedding, medical supplies and care for the dogs until they are well enough to find their forever homes.
All dogs rehomed via TeLuMa’s Dream are microchipped, fully vaccinated, wormed, deflead and spayed/neutered if old enough, if not the adoption contract will stipulate that this is done as soon as old enough and this will be checked with your vet.

We re-home dogs anywhere in the U.K. This means that you can apply if you have a U.K postal code. Our aim is to pair each dog with the right new owner, ensuring that it will be safe, cared for and loved for the rest of its life. Therefore all potential adopters will be asked to complete a questionnaire. Also a homecheck is carried out and a phone interview prior to adoption. We offer a full rescue back up service to all our adopters and post-adoption support, which includes a Facebook support group and free behavioral advice.
