Honey – 4 year old female Saluki Cross

Adorable Honey is a sweet little Saluki Cross girl around 4 years of age. Honey was originally rehomed by us here at Greyhound Gap and sadly returned recently due to a vast change in her family’s personal circumstances that make it impossible for her to remain within the home. Honey is a quiet and shy and somewhat nervous little girl. She needs a quiet home without young children or lots of visiting children and strangers as she can still be worried by people she does not know. She would love a home where she is an only dog with someone around all or most of the time or with a steady male dog for company and could probably even happily fit into a mixed pack if the dogs were kind and well balanced.

[rehomed]

We feel she would be fine to be left a few hours a day with the company of other dogs. Honey is fine out and about on lead and is good with all dogs she meets but may air snap if scared by more boisterous dogs or they run over and into her space, this is simply down to nerves and nothing else. Honey travels well and is house trained and walks like a little mouse out and about on the lead. She will take a little time to warm up to you and a home that understands to allow her to settle and engage in her own time would be a must. Honey is NOT cat friendly.

Honey is vaccinated, kc vaccinated, de flead, de wormed, spayed, microchipped and has had a dental. She will also be rehomed with one months Petplan Insurance. Honey is currently located in Stoke on Trent but can be rehomed nationwide subject to a successful homevisit being carried out and all immediate members of the family and any resident dogs being willing to travel to meet her.

Greyhound Gap

Greyhound Gap is a small independent charity set up to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome greyhounds and lurchers who find themselves in a ‘put to sleep’ situation in UK pounds. Funded almost entirely by donations, we rehome around 150 dogs each year. We can have around 40-50 dogs at any one time in our kennels based in Kidsgrove, Stoke on Trent and a further 30-40 in foster homes. Greyhound Gap operates on a national basis so our dogs can be homed throughout the UK subject to a suitable home visit being carried out.

If you are interested in adopting a dog from Greyhound Gap, we would ask that in the first instance you could take a few moments to complete our pre-adoption questionnaire if you have not already done so: http://www.greyhoundgap.org.uk/our-dogs/pre-adoption-questionnaire
