Ice has a cheeky, playful side to him and loves a good game of chase with his tennis balls!

Ice also enjoys his walks but can get a little overwhelmed at times so needs a patient and understanding owner who will go at his pace and provide him with guidance and reassurance when needed.

Ice is social around other dogs but tends to find it hard to read their body language so needs continued training and socialisation in this area to help build his confidence and understanding.

This bubbly boy will make a loving, fun and rewarding companion for the right family or person. Ice is looking for a calm, patient owner who has owned dogs before and is knowledgeable about dog behaviour and body language. He could live in a flat, as long as there is direct access to an enclosed garden.

Due to his desire to chase at times, we feel he would not be suited to live with young children but could live with sensible teenagers of 16+.

Ice could also potentially live with a calm and well-adjusted dog, subject to a successful meet at Mayhew.

Ice was graded 2 out of 3 on the brachycephalic obstructive airway syndrome scale so has had surgery to correct this, which was successful.

Adopters will need to carefully manage their weight and take care with excessive exercise and hot weather to ensure they remain in good health. He also had ear canal inflammation and infection in both ears which were cleared with medicated drops.

His left ear pinner is slightly irregular and has a scar where he has had an aural haematoma (solid swelling) in the past which required surgical drainage.

His ears will need to be cared for with regular ear cleaning and may require more regular vet checks to ensure they remain healthy.

Ice will also need regular face fold cleaning. Ice has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and is up to date with flea and worm treatment. He has also been health checked and behaviourally assessed.
