Ivy is a 6 month old female Kokoni cross Chihuahua. She flew to a UK foster just before the New Year.

She was 1 of 7 siblings that came under my care at only 1day old along with mum. Mum and her 6 siblings are now in their forever homes and now Ivy is looking for her own family.

This is what her foster mum says, about Ivy. “Ivy can live with other dogs but is very competitive so may prefer to be the only dog. Occasionally chases cats if they run but means no harm. She is good with children and children must be over 10.

“I’m Ivy and I am originally from Cyprus where I was rescued along with my mum and my siblings when I was one day old. I am currently living with one of my sisters and 2 cats.

I don’t really like being left alone, so I would prefer to have someone around most of the time. I like being near my human as much as possible.

I am getting to grips with walking nicely on the lead I do pull but I am getting better. l often bark at other dogs but I am not aggressive I just want to let them know I’m here.

I am also getting much better at toilet training and will let you have a lie-in sometimes before I need to go in the mornings! I am very food orientated and will steal from other dogs and the cat’s cats if I can.

I love roast chicken and crunchy red peppers are the best though! I love to cuddle up and have my belly rubbed or my head gently stroked until I fall asleep! I am exceedingly loving and very soft. Chewy toys are my favourite kind especially pizzle sticks and yak chews. ” – Quote
