James is a 6 year old Greyhound boy who has recently made his way into our care and has now moved into foster.  He is currently co-existing alongside two Lurcher males and a female Lurcher all of whom he gets on well with. James would easily fit into a pack environment but would be just as happy as an only dog.

Within an hour of making his way from our kennels he had climbed onto fosterer’s sofa and was happy lazing away. He has been spotlessly clean asking to go out to the toilet and hasn’t been a moments bother. James is a sweetie and has so far been left alone with both the other dogs and without he is happy with either, settles easily and just goes off to sleep.

James is fine with smaller dogs if introduced properly and is NOT cat friendly however he does not tend to lunge pull or back when he passes them out on leash. James is any first time Greyhound owners dream dog and is one in a million. James is vaccinated, KC vaccinated, microchipped, neutered, de-flead and wormed.

Greyhound Gap
Greyhound Gap

Greyhound Gap is a small independent charity set up to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome greyhounds and lurchers who find themselves in a ‘put to sleep’ situation in UK pounds. Funded almost entirely by donations, we rehome around 150 dogs each year. We can have around 40-50 dogs at any one time in our kennels based in Kidsgrove, Stoke on Trent and a further 30-40 in foster homes. Greyhound Gap operates on a national basis so our dogs can be homed throughout the UK subject to a suitable home visit being carried out.

If you are interested in adopting a dog from Greyhound Gap, we would ask that in the first instance you could take a few moments to complete our pre-adoption questionnaire if you have not already done so: http://www.greyhoundgap.org.uk/our-dogs/pre-adoption-questionnaire
