Jamima is a large 6-7 year old female Romanian Shepherd Cross (Romanian Mioritic Sheepdog). She came to us back in December from the Botosani public shelter in Romania. She had been in there for years and had been written off as scared and aggressive but, as is often the case, once taken out of the stressful environment on arrival here she was totally different.
Jamima will need a Shepherd experienced home and whoever takes her will need to research Romanian Shepherd characteristics before applying. She likes other dogs but can be a bit bossy with them so would need to be a dog that she couldn’t intimidate and not small dogs. With her foster family she is affectionate at times and will ask for a fuss but not at the stage of welcoming a big bear hug yet!
Jamima will need an adult family with people willing to work on the situations that still scare her. She is a beautiful dog inside and out but has not had it easy in life and will need time to fully heal. Jamima is starting to enjoy her walks but can be stressed about having lead put on which we are continuing to work with whilst she’s in our care. Jamima fostered Norwich Norfolk.
All dogs are vaccinated, microchipped and neutered (unless the dog is too young to be neutered). If you are interested please message or call between 9am to 5pm Mon – Fri 9am to 4pm Sat.
