This charming boy, not originally an Underdog, found himself in need of a new home due to changes in his owner’s circumstances.

Jaspar is a loving, cheeky, and energetic terrier, seeking an active home that understands the needs of a young, high-energy dog. Although he lacks extensive training from his previous home, he is exceptionally smart and enjoys learning.

His foster family has already taught him commands like sit, wait, give paw, and more in just six weeks, showcasing his quick learning abilities.

Despite being a bit shy around strangers initially, Jaspar warms up with treats and strokes. He adores chin and chest scratches and is a fan of squeaky toys, often carrying them around proudly after catching them.

While not very confident around larger dogs, he socializes well with most other dogs on playdates and could potentially live with a dog of a similar nature. However, he is not suitable for a home with cats or small furries.

Jaspar requires a semi-rural home with a secure garden, as he loves physical exercise. He thrives on three walks a day, with a longer one in the afternoon and two shorter ones in the morning and evening.

His recall is a work in progress, and due to his breed’s prey drive, he cannot be off-lead at the moment. Despite these training needs, Jaspar is a delightful dog who enjoys cuddles, enrichment activities, and napping on the sofa.

It is recommended that Jaspar’s new home be experienced with terriers, given his energetic nature and training requirements. He is not suitable for homes with children under 10 years old due to limited exposure.

Jaspar is currently seeking a forever family, and his clean bill of health makes him ready for adoption anywhere in the country, provided a meeting beforehand is possible.
