Jasper is a 9 month old Lurcher cross Border Terrier who is looking for a new home. He was originally re-homed as a puppy at 8 weeks old but due to his owners’ ill health he is now looking for a new home. He is such a lovely, cuddly boy when you get to know him, and he is always looking for attention. He is great with dogs and although a little nervous at first, it doesn’t take long to win him over.
Since being returned to the rescue Jasper has been to two homes and was returned very quickly. It seems that Jasper is struggling with all the stress he has gone through recently and is not behaving very well when he goes to a new home.
Jasper does not like having his collar touched and will yelp and mouth if you try to take hold of him by it. He is very cheeky and will push his boundaries to see what he can get away with and although we believe there is no malice in him, it can be rather intimidating.
Jasper is looking for an active home with someone who can give him all the stimulation he needs. He is not a first-time dog nor is he a dog for a family with children. He will need a caring, calm home who will slowly help him to settle in whilst not pushing him too much. The rescue is happy to take it slowly with any potential home and we have no doubt that Jasper will make as great a friend to someone as he is to all the staff here. Due to his age he is also looking for a home where he will not be left for more than two hours at a time.
