Joey – 3 year old male Greyhound

Joey is a very handsome 3 year old Greyhound boy who is now ready to start to look for his home. Joey is a little bit of a worry wart and was quite stressed when he landed but has been paired up with Roo in the kennels and this has helped him to settle massively and he is now turning into a happy go lucky laid back boy. We do feel it would be in Joeys best interests to be rehomed alongside another dog preferably a female steady greyhound who will help show him the ropes and build his confidence. If somewhere were looking for a bonded pair he and Roo would be a fabulous choice to add as new additions together as they love each other.

[rehomed]

Out and about on lead Joey walks well in the main but will need gentle safe socialising with other breeds of dogs. He can be rehomed with dog savy children aged 6 years and upwards but NOT cats. Although Joey is currently with us here in kennels he does make an effort to keep his area clean. When allowed out to toilet and taken on walks or excercised in the paddock he empties immediately so we do not envisage housetraining being an issue.

Joey is vaccinated, kc vaccinated, de flead, de wormed, microchipped and will be neutered and receive a dental before rehoming. He will also be rehomed with 1 months free insurance.

Joey is currently in Stoke on Trent and can be rehomed nationally subject to a successful homevisit being carried out and all immediate members of the family and any resident dogs being willing to travel to meet him.

Greyhound Gap
Greyhound Gap

Greyhound Gap is a small independent charity set up to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome greyhounds and lurchers who find themselves in a ‘put to sleep’ situation in UK pounds. Funded almost entirely by donations, we rehome around 150 dogs each year. We can have around 40-50 dogs at any one time in our kennels based in Kidsgrove, Stoke on Trent and a further 30-40 in foster homes. Greyhound Gap operates on a national basis so our dogs can be homed throughout the UK subject to a suitable home visit being carried out.

If you are interested in adopting a dog from Greyhound Gap, we would ask that in the first instance you could take a few moments to complete our pre-adoption questionnaire if you have not already done so: http://www.greyhoundgap.org.uk/our-dogs/pre-adoption-questionnaire
