Josie

Please allow me to introduce you to Josie. Josie is a beautiful little Staffordshire Bull Terrier cross Greyhound girl approximately 2 years old. I have a feeling I know where Josie originally came from but she was handed into our local pound.

 

Josie has recently had a litter of puppies and is now surplus to requirements. As the pound was full and she was owner surrender she was transferred into our care. After time in our kennels Josie is now in foster care with two male and one female Lurchers and gets on well with them all.

This girl has to be one of the most steady dogs I have ever met. Her whole persona is gentle and she is an absolute joy to be around, whoever gets this girl will have a dog of their dreams. Josie is so quiet and unassuming but so loving and friendly aswell, you can’t help but feel calm when you spend time around her.

She walks fabulously on leash and you dont even know she is there, she is clean, adores children and really doesn’t have a malicious bone in her body. She was taken on originally as a worker so we don’t think she will be good with small furries but this will be checked out (however, when she is out and about and see’s cats she remains calm and still on the leash).

Being sure I know Josie’s background it breaks my heart to think she ended up scared and alone in the pound and now for us at Greyhound Gap to give her that chance of a loving forever home to me is everything. Josie is fine to be left in the company of other dogs and has been left crated completly alone, she does cry lowly a little but then settles down.

She would adore a home with a companion or at the very least if no other dogs someone around all or most of the time. This girl is a heartbreaker and someone is going to be so lucky to have her. I find that the Greyhound cross Staffordshire Bull Terriers’s are one of the nicest mixed Lurchers and this girl certainly is a steady Edina. Love her. Josie is microchipped, vaccinated, kennel cough vaccinated, de-flead, wormed and spayed.
