Kai – 12 year old female German Shepherd Dog

Kai is a 12 year old female German Shepherd Dog. She was sadly found abandoned tied to the gates of a farm around 4 years ago and all attempts to find her family were unsuccessful. The family who owned the farm decided to keep Kai and that is where she has been for the past 4 years but sadly a change in circumstances has resulted in her losing her home once more.

Our hearts break for this sweet girl. Kai has one of the most faultless temperaments we have ever known here at the rescue. She is so gentle, friendly and just loves everyone she meets! She has been no trouble at all and is clean and quiet in her kennel. We are desperate to find her a warm, loving home in time for the cooler months.

Kai is good with other dogs but we are unsure how she will be with cats, although she did play with a goat when she lived at the farm! We feel that Kai could live with sensible children over the age of 12. The ideal home for Kai would be a quiet environment with someone around for most/all of the day. She absolutely deserves to be spoilt rotten in her golden years.

Kai is obviously an older girl and she had not seen a vet for a long time before coming to us. She will be undergoing surgery on 2nd September to remove a lump from her elbow, we will not know the status of this until then, however all of her blood results have came back clear. Apart from this Kai is a little creaky on her legs and will need pain relief to help support this.

Overall Kai is a real superstar and will make the most loyal companion. We have all fallen in love with here and whoever adopts her will be truly blessed.
