Kay – 3 year old female Greyhound

Kay is a 3 year old blue Greyhound girlie who is now ready to find a home to call her own <3 We love beautiful Kay she is such a quiet and clean girlie in her kennels and she settles beautifully. When first landing Kay was kenneled with Flame but sadly she came into season and then had to be taken out. She is now out of season and spayed but when we tried to place them back together she was not as happy as she was before but this is probably due to hormones at the moment. Kay has been fine out and about on walks and not overly keen upon sight of anything but she has only recently retired from racing so caution will need to be taken when socialising and introducing her to other breeds of dogs. We feel Kay would happy live as an only dog or would co exist with a male Greyhound but would not be so keen to live with another female. Kay is NOT cat friendly and can be rehomed with dog savy children 6 years and upwards. Kay also travels like a dream.

Greyhound Gap

Greyhound Gap is a small independent charity set up to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome greyhounds and lurchers who find themselves in a ‘put to sleep’ situation in UK pounds. Funded almost entirely by donations, we rehome around 150 dogs each year. We can have around 40-50 dogs at any one time in our kennels based in Kidsgrove, Stoke on Trent and a further 30-40 in foster homes. Greyhound Gap operates on a national basis so our dogs can be homed throughout the UK subject to a suitable home visit being carried out.

If you are interested in adopting a dog from Greyhound Gap, we would ask that in the first instance you could take a few moments to complete our pre-adoption questionnaire if you have not already done so: http://www.greyhoundgap.org.uk/our-dogs/pre-adoption-questionnaire
