Lady – 5 month old female Beagle

Lady is a 5 month old female Beagle puppy being fostered in Gloucestershire. She is in family home with other dogs and cats. Lovely Lady has recently joined her as her family found her difficult to cope with as they had a young child.

They did attempt to re-home her themselves but she was returned the next day. She has only just joined us but to be honest she does not have any problems other than being a puppy Beagle.

They are an active working breed and not for the faint hearted. She will need an experienced home who understands Beagles and can give her the lifestyle she will need.

She has a beautiful temperament, very sociable with people, dogs and getting used to the cats. She will only be placed with people who have had Beagles or similar and always had Rescue dogs.

She will not suit primary school children and will need people around, an active lifestyle, other dogs would be a bonus in the countryside.

House training a bit hit and miss but will work on this, bit nervous of the car so will work on this, her lead walking is not great either but nothing that can’t be worked with. She has a lovely character and with the right home will be a joy and with the wrong home a nightmare.

Early days for her but hopefully you can get a feel for what she is like and needs please do not apply unless you meet these and want an active busy dog.

For further details regarding one of our dogs please email us at starfishdogrescue@hotmail.co.uk for our application form - we are only a small rescue and we get to know our dogs properly before they are put up for adoption, we work with two rescues in Spain for the last 7 years and also travel to Spain to meet the dogs and assess them before we agreed to take them as we are a foster based rescue - we also help the local dogs in Gloucestershire and also link to a local Pound in Bristol that we help, we do take our time and make sure its the right match and put as much detail as we can in their write up what sort of home will suit that particular dog. All our dogs are neutered if old enough, fully vaccinated, chipped and blood tested - they go out with a full vet history, all homes will be home checked without exception and you will be expected to travel to meet the dogs we never deliver dogs.
