She is a medium-to-large size dog, spayed, housetrained, loving, and loyal. She is very charismatic and pictures can’t show her real beauty, very friendly with people and with dogs of any size.

LAPA is a Ukraine war dog looking for a safe haven. Available for foster-to-adopt. LAPA was ready to travel a long time ago, but missed many chances just because she had nowhere to go. LAPA is already at foster in the UK and described as a dream dog, located at Chelmsford, Essex, CM1.

SIZE: Medium-to-large (57 cm shoulder height, 21-22 kilos)
CHARACTER HIGHLIGHTS: Loving, loyal, friendly
DOGS: Friendly with
CATS: Not tested with
CHILDREN: Good with older kids (10+)

LAPA was found near Kherson after its liberation in Autumn 2022. She was a lonely, exhausted dog, abandoned and forgotten. When Kherson was de-occupied, many volunteer groups rushed there to help. They found many dogs in poor conditions on the streets, whose owners either fled or were killed.

Our partner rescue gave shelter to almost 30 dogs rescued in Autumn 2022. All of them have already found homes, in Ukraine and in Europe. LAPA, however, seems to be under a spell: nobody noticed her, a sad and overlooked girl.

LAPA is active and loves to play, but she is also easy to calm down and loves to cuddle and snooze near humans. She is patient, friendly and playful with other dogs of all sized.

LAPA is a no-fault girl very much human-oriented. She can be a little shy with unknown people but eager to build trust fast.

From the moment she realises the humans near are kind, she will not leave her owner’s side and will be the most loving and kind companion for many years to come. She is good with kids, but considering her size and possible playful excitement, we would recommend older kids 10+.

LAPA is still very young and loves her walks, where she can burn off her energy and get important mental enrichment.

LAPA is a true gem waiting for the right family to discover her. She has so much love to give and is eager to find a place to call home.

Adopt LAPA and experience the joy of giving a rescue dog a second chance at a happy life.

LAPA is a healthy girl, though it’s likely she had a pelvic fracture in the past before she was found.

The fracture has completely healed now. Occasionally, she may avoid putting weight on one back leg, but this happens infrequently and without any apparent pattern, resembling muscle memory.

The veterinarian has not imposed any restrictions related to this past trauma. Spayed, has all core vaccines done, microchipped.

All our dogs are C.Brucella tested before travelling (owner will receive licensed laboratory test certificate).
