Lea is a 2 year old female Cross-Breed. She is a beautiful Bosnian Shepherd breed who was rescued by our partners in Bosnia with her puppies from a quarry. Because the shelters are always so stretched and there are so many thousands of dogs, often after they’re neutered the dogs are returned to where they were living on the streets, but
Lea gorgeous temperament won everyone over and they decided they there was no way they could put her back outside.
Lea is estimated to be around two years old and is a medium sized dog weighing around 23kg. She is a very good tempered, friendly and calm girl who loves being around people. She is kind and gentle towards all other animals that she meets and has no problems socialising with other dogs.
At the moment she lives with over twenty other dogs and doesn’t have any problems with any of them. Lea is also very good with cats. When introduced to children Lea was absolutely thrilled to have more attention and cuddles. She loves being petted and stroked, and she is definitely a people oriented dog.
She’s never shown any adverse behaviour towards children and we would be comfortable rehoming her with kids aged 5+. Lea’s ideal home would be a relaxed family setting in the countryside, or semi-rurally. She would really like access to a garden, especially because up until now she’s been a true street dog and has spent most of her time outdoors.
She would also really enjoy long but leisurely walks in nature with her new family. It will be a big change for Lea to adapt to a proper companion lifestyle, but we think her good nature will allow her to take everything in her stride and form strong bonds with her new family quite quickly.
She is very loving, loyal and trusting, and could make a fantastic friend in the right home. Lea is currently based in Bosnia and has a clean bill of health. She is ready to travel once she finds her forever home.
