He preferred to have fun and sleep on the sofa rather than going into the racing business.

This boy is a dream! He loves cuddling up on the sofa with you, helping you around the house or snoozing by your feet!

He likes a stroll, exploring, sniffing, and seeing new things or a quick zoomies before retiring back to the sofa.

Lion is dog friendly. He likes to meet new friends of all sizes and is in foster with a variety, a frenchie being his bestie so far.

He is also in foster with cats and could live with confident dog savvy cats.

Lion could live with children aged 8 years and over, ones who understand that the world is very new to him, so he needs time to adjust.

Lion has taken well to home life, He is still learning and has a lot to learn about daily life, the noises, and ongoings. He is very curious about everything that goes on but also scares himself sometimes by the simplest of things. It’s all very new to him.

Lion would love a home with owners who are happy to give him the time he needs to continue to grow as his world opens up. owners who understand that he needs time to take everything new in.

He is just a big bundle of love and cuddles, and yes, he does consider himself a lap dog.

A real delight to be with and will be a fabulous companion.

Lion would prefer a home that can build up the time he is left as he adjusts to his new home.

Lion even does the happy greyhound teeth chattering and is just the cutest.

Helping Dogs and Cats UK Rescue

Helping Dogs & Cats is a non-profit animal rescue (CIC number1420295) based in Basingstoke and operates in Hampshire, Berkshire, Kent, and Surrey. We rescue dogs, cats and other small animals in need of help.

Our journey began in 2018 when our Founder Kirsty Wrightson established the rescue after losing her beloved dog, Millie. Our work includes rehoming and rehabilitation, veterinary care, microchipping, spaying and neutering. All of the animals that come into our care first go into foster homes for assessment.

Adopting a dog or cat or other animal is a big decision and in most instances, a long-term commitment. To help you answer any questions you may have we have created an FAQ guide. https://helpingdogsandcatsuk.org/faqs-1

Our small team is staffed by volunteers, who are true animal lovers and passionate about animal welfare. We receive no government funding and depend entirely on the generosity of our supporters. Every penny we receive goes directly to helping dogs and cats.

We offer full rescue backup for the life of your adopted animal.
