Lola is a beautiful 4 year old female German Wire-Haired Pointer Cross. She was rescued by a kind man who takes in many unwanted dogs and he appealed for help, with the money from our regular supporters we have been able to take her on and care for her until she finds a good UK home.
Lola will be 5 years old in May, her rescuer says she’s not good with cats, she’s very obedient in town where there are few interesting scents (she may well go deaf if when she picks up a scent), she is very good natured, gets on well with people of all ages, good with other dogs both male and female, in fact she’s super sociable with other dogs, goes up to any dogs she sees crying because she wants to play with them.
When she was first rescued she was very scared and looked for somewhere to hide. But then as she has gained confidence she’s been great, she’s one of the most obedient dogs he’s ever looked after. She’s very responsive to being called he says (but note in the video where he’s walking her, urban environment so not much of interest).
He says she’s so lovely he would keep her if he didn’t already have lots of dogs. She’s a quick learner, she’s realised that she no longer needs to work and initially she was very focused on birds, now she is less interested because she’s realised she doesn’t need to work.
