Lucy is a 1-2 year old female Cross-Breed. Lucy is a beautiful that is approaching 18 months old, Lucy was relinquished to the dog pound when she was too bouncy for her owner, unfortunately she didn’t cope well in kennels and lost lots of weight and got very stressed so we were asked to take her.

She was born in the Covid lockdown so has had next to no life experience, as a result of this she needs lots of input and training and steady socialisation, she can be very bolshy with other dogs as she has never had to share her toys, She is a blank canvas that you can mould into the dog you want her to be. Since being with us, Lucy has settled in to life as part of a pack really well, and listens to correction to other dogs so we feel a home with other dogs would suit her best.

She would be best in a home where she can get lots of training and input, she will need lots of space and her brain needs to be kept busy, she would suit a home where she can be out and about much of the time. She loves nothing more than to snuggle up on the sofa with you for cuddles.

She is clean in the house and fine to be left for short periods of time, please remember she is still young and will need ongoing training and guidance. She is used to being in a crate and is happy with this for short periods. Lucy is a counter surfer so you need to make sure food is kept out of her reach as she will steal it, and loves to scavenge in the rubbish bins!

When Lucy is out, ball is life, we think she would be absolutely fantastic for a flyball home or similar as nothing can distract her from getting that ball, not even food! Her recall is great when you have the ball, however she is smart and you will notice a long line on her in the secure field, this is because she knows when its home time and will do anything to evade going home and having to give up the ball!

She is the perfect age to make her exactly what you want her to be. She would be a great project for someone that wants to train a dog to do a job, or just a dog to learn with. She would be best in an adult only home as she need alot of training and children may be distracting, she could live with children teenager age that are happy to help with her ongoing training.

She is spayed, microchipped flea and wormed. Could you offer Lucy the forever home she so desperately deserves?
