Hello, my name is Lucy. I’m a five month old female Terrier mixed breed. I arrived at The Mayhew after being found abandoned on the streets. I’m an active girl who loves to play and I love going to the park. I get along ok with other dogs but I do need more socialisation around them. I’m also very affectionate and I like to climb onto peoples’ lap for a cuddle. I can live with children of twelve years of age and upwards but I’ll need to be the only pet in the home.
I’m a clever little girl who’s now starting to learn the basic commands, I’m an eager pupil but I still have lots to learn. My new owner will be expected to continue my training and socialisation and take me to training classes. I’m now looking for a forever home with an active person or family, who have owned dogs before and will provide me with a minimum of one hour of active off lead exercise every day.
If you are interested in adopting me you will need to be fully prepared for the hard work and long-term commitment involved in caring for a dog, you’ll be taking on a fifteen year commitment, which must not be taken lightly.
I hope to see you soon,
