Lucy is a 6-7 month old female Staffordshire Bull Terrier. She was found at 3 months old as a stray in Italy. When she was found it was discovered that she has an old spinal injury, it is speculated that she was possibly run over by a car. She now walks with a wheelchair.
Due to her injury, Lucy is incontinent. We are looking for a sensitive and loving home who is prepared to potentially adapt their home with ramps etc. to make it easy for Lucy to get around. This will be a challenge for Lucy’s new home but also very rewarding!
We are looking for a very special home for our Lucy. Lucy is a loving girl who is very cuddly and affectionate. She loves to run around in her little wheelchair, it has given her a new lease of life! When she is out of her wheelchair, she does have little movement and will need to be carried in some circumstances.
Lucy does wear a nappy as she is incontinent. Her needs going forward will require physiotherapy, hydrotherapy and daily massages to help build up her muscles. SSR can provide support with funding for Lucy’s care. We can also cover the costs required to add in ramps to the home so that Lucy can move about a lot more.
