Please meet lionhearted Lucy! Lucy is a beautiful medium sized 1 year old female Cross-Breed. She was relinquished to the dog pound when she was too bouncy for her owner, unfortunately she didnt cope well in kennels and lost lots of weight and got very stressed so we were asked to take her.
She was born in the Covid lockdown so has had next to no life experience, as a result of this she needs lots of input and training and steady socialisation, she can be very bolshy with other dogs as she has never had to share her toys, She is a blank canvas that you can mould into the dog you want her to be. Lucy is a victim of the corona virus lock down, and as a result, prior to coming to us She had not been socialised with people or other animals.
Lucy would be best in a home where she can get lots of training and input, she will need lots of space and her brain needs to be kept busy, she would suit a home where she can be out and about much of the time.
She could happily live with other dogs, it will just take her longer to focus and learn, and you will need to have a laid-back dog that is submissive and will allow her to be the boss! She loves nothing more than to snuggle up on the sofa with you for cuddles.
Lucy is clean in the house and fine to be left for short periods of time, please remember she is still young and will need ongoing training and guidance. She is used to being in a crate and is happy with this for short periods.
Lucy is a counter surfer so you need to make sure food is kept out of her reach as she will steal it, and loves to scavenge in the rubbish bins!
Lucy is the perfect age to make her exactly what you want her to be. She would be a great project for someone that wants to train a dog to do a job, or just a dog to learn with. Lucy would be best in an adult only home as she need a lot of training and children may be distracting, she could live with children teenager age that are happy to help with her ongoing training.
Lucy is spayed, microchipped flea and wormed.
Could you offer Lucy the forever home she so desperately deserves?
