Hi folks, I’m Luna. I am a 6 year old female Staffordshire Bull Terrier Cross and have been told I’m just as beautiful as my name suggests! Originally I came to Islay Dog Rescue from Lancashire where I was rescued from the dog pound. It was a scary time there as I wasn’t sure if I would get a rescue space or be put to sleep! However, Mary from Homeless Hounds made sure I was safe and transported me all the way to Scotland.
My good points are that I am a very affectionate wee dog with people, I travel really well in the car, walk well on the lead, know how to sit when I’m asked, I’m not greedy for my food or treats and I am house trained. I don’t have a high prey drive and lived with cats for a week so could be trained to live with them happily.
However, to balance those points I am not great with other female dogs and therefore the staff at Islay Dog Rescue think I would be better living as an only dog in the household. I’m also not too keen on young children so I think I’d only like to live with adults or in a household where the children are teenagers.
