Luna is a friendly 4 year old black female Staffordshire Bull Terrier. She’s very affectionate with people, even people she doesn’t know. She immediately bonds with people, wants to stay by your side, and is very observant to the person next to her, waiting for instructions on what to do. She loves being petted, belly rubs and kissing every person she gets close to.
She is obedient and has a good recall and she loves children! She has had no problem with dogs at the pound but as she hasn’t properly socialized with dogs outside the pound, she would need a proper introduction. She was taken out for events, she was close to other dogs and she didn’t have any aggressive reaction though.
Her only problem is that she pulls on the lead because she’s never been taught how to walk on a lead. At the pound where she lives, volunteers are not allowed to take dogs out for walks (only when an event is organised.) As a result, Luna’s not used walks and she pulls quite a lot when she finally gets out, but after a while she calms down and walks next to the person taking her, but this is something a halti will cure. She’s an active, energetic dog and she would love to get more exercise. She loves running around in the patio, asking people to chase her!
Luna also loves food! Being food-driven means she’d be easy to train with treats. She is very careful when taking treats from someone’s hand. Poor little Luna was brought into a pound in the North of Spain in November 2015, when she was just 7 months old, and she’s grown at the pound. Her She loves being petted, belly rubs and kissing every person she gets close to. She is obedient and has a good recall and she loves children!
