Luna is a 3 year old female German Shepherd Dog. She is in fostered Camberley, Surrey. Luna was brought to the Botosani public shelter in Romania by her owner. She had been hit by a car and sustained a broken leg. After trying to fix the leg himself, her owner had taken her to an orthopaedic vet who operated and put metal plates in.

This operation failed and caused her to step on her paw wrong causing open wounds. At this point her owner gave up and abandoned her to the public shelter. Another orthopaedic vet examined her but it was decided that the leg needed to come off fast as the open wounds could easily become infected.
Despite going through all this pain and upheaval this dog is the most cheerful, friendly dog on the planet. She can make any occasion fun and her clumsy exuberance provides great amusement to anyone in her presence. Having a leg missing does not hinder her speed or zest for life and she tackles everything head on!
We would like a German Shepherd Dog experienced home for Luna with no young children that she will bowl over. Luna does get on with other dogs if not over excited when she meets them. She is a little full on for a lot of dogs to cope with and we will not rehome her with small dogs or puppies as she is dominant with them. Luna is not cat friendly.
All dogs are vaccinated, microchipped and neutered (unless the dog is too young to be neutered). If you are interested please message or call between 9am to 5pm Mon – Fri 9am to 4pm Sat.
