Luna – 1-2 year old female Whippet Cross

Luna is a 1-2 year old female Whippet Cross. She is adorable, cat and child friendly girl. She needs a new home though no fault of her own. I met her today and she is so so sweet. She’s living with cats, she playfully chases them as you’d expect so she can be rehomed with dog savvy cats.

She also lives with a baby and a child with absolutely no issues so a home with children will be fine. She has previously lived with a small dog but can be nervous of dogs she doesn’t know – we are told she will bark but today she seemed interested in meeting other dogs on a walk and we are sure she can be socialised more when she gets to her new home.

She can also bark at new people as she can be a little nervous but she came straight to me for kisses and climbed onto my lap. she soon comes around and loves nothing more than a cuddle. She’s not used to being left so she would prefer a home where she’s not left too long as she will cry.

She’s a sweet girl who is vaccinated and chipped but not spayed as she’s not yet had her first season. We are told she can jump fences so needs a home with a secure garden and willing to work with her on this. She wants an active home where she will get lots of walks and playtime as she’s still a puppy really.

Forever homes can be anywhere within the UK but you will need to travel to us in South Yorkshire. As always we require everyone in the family and any children who are regularly going to be in contact with the dog to attend the meet. Our usual process is that you will need to come and meet the dog and that adoption is then done on a second meet.

JLP Trust Animal Rescue is a foster based rescue in South Yorkshire (Rotherham and the surrounding areas) and we offer help to animals who need us to find them a new home for whatever the reason.

Sadly many animals, especially in the South Yorkshire area, find themselves needing a new home, abandoned or neglected through no fault of their own. We try to help as many of these as possible through providing help with rehoming, foster homes and help to owners wherever possible to ensure that the animals remain safe, looked after and loved until a new forever home can be found.

For every animal we help we provide homechecks, vaccination, neutering and microchipping and lifetime back up if anything should go wrong in their new home.
