Margot is a beautiful 5 year old female Catalan Sheepdog. She is a beautiful medium sized girl. She has a blonde long, rough low-shed coat. Poor Margot grew up and spent her whole life at a pound in the South of Spain until she was taken out and fostered in Spain a few months ago.
From the beginning it was clear she was good natured but fearful. Everything was new to her! She has improved a lot but is still scared of traffic, loud noises, passing near children kicking a ball. She’s shy and wary with strangers, especially men who seem to intimidate her more, but she is making progress that we are thrilled about!
Margot is now in the UK and she is used to living in a house, she is housetrained and well-behaved at home. She is very calm, and she will be affectionate once she knows people, but she needs time to settle and trust people. Despite all, she is a very sweet dog.
Margot walks well on the lead, she doesn’t pull. She has a medium level of energy. She needs a calm house in a rural environment, with owners who have experience with fearful dogs and can give her a few months to settle.
She was fostered with another dog in Spain, and she is sociable and playful when she meets them during walks and at the park. However she would prefer to be the only dog in her new home.
So please apply for this lovely girl if you are experienced with shy dogs; no cats; and no children under 12 years old, and live a relatively quiet life in a peaceful area.
Current location is in a foster home in a foster home in Buckinghamshire.
Adoption Fee : £380 – to be paid direct to the Spanish rescue to cover new, excessive, extra EU travel costs, via UK bank account.
