Mario is a 5-year-old male Australian Cattle Dog and Hound cross.

He was a stray in Italy, roaming freely in a village in Calabria, Southern Italy.

However, not all residents welcomed him, and some threatened to confine him to a kennel.

Fortunately, compassionate volunteers intervened, raising funds to neuter him and ensure his safety.

Mario eventually found refuge in a foster home in Birmingham, UK.

His foster mum describes him as getting along well with a little female dog and being great with larger dogs, but he is not suitable for living with cats.

Mario has excellent recall off-lead and responds well to praise.

He enjoys greeting other dogs but is affectionate towards people.

Weighing 30 kgs, Mario is a big sweet boy who is sure to melt your heart.

If you’re considering adoption, Mario might just be the perfect companion for you. Give him a chance, and you’ll never regret it.
