Marley is a 8 year old male Golden Retriever. He is a larger than life lad who came into rescue following the loss of his mum. He is a wonderful ad who will need a home used to working with obese dogs and a home committed to ensuring the work his foster family have started continues. When Marey arrived he weighed in at a whopping 54kg – far to much for his frame as he is a relatively small lad in height terms.

He is currently on a weight restricted diet and this is working well for him, surprisingly he is not a massive eater but was given lots and lots and lots of high calorie treats which is why we suspect he is so heavy. This will need to continue as he does need to loose approx. 10-15kg.
On arrival he struggled to maintain his own weight when having his nails clipped, this has improved but he is still a long way off being fit enough to go for long walks. He will need patience to continue his little and often walks with gradual increases as his weight drops.
Marley is such a happy chap who loves life and deserves a chance of enjoying his retirement. Please don’t underestimate the dedication that will be needed to get him to his target weight, please consider what is needed and if you have the time to dedicate to his mankini diet.
He has been neutered, vaccinated and microchipped and is up to date with flea and worming treatment. Marley is currently being fostered in Hailsham, East Sussex.
