Matilda is a 3.5-year-old female medium cross breed dog who was discovered as a stray on the streets of Romania. Having spent over a year without luck in shelters, she has recently found a foster home in the UK.
Initially shy, Matilda has blossomed in her foster home, revealing a gentle and easy-going nature. She takes pleasure in the comforts of home, often found snoozing on comfortable chairs or relaxing in the garden.
While Matilda may require a bit of time to establish a connection with new people, her foster family has observed that she becomes affectionate and accepting of attention with patience and space.
Ideally suited for a calm household, Matilda thrives with individuals who appreciate her at her own pace and do not demand too much from her.
Matilda is generally unfazed by visitors as long as they respect her space and give her time to acclimate.
Although she has not been around children and a household with younger ones might be overwhelming for her, Matilda gets along well with dogs of any size, sharing her space and food without issues. Her compatibility with cats is untested.
Currently, Matilda is in the process of familiarizing herself with collars and leads. While her fosterer diligently works on this aspect, it’s recommended that her adopter possesses the time and patience to continue lead training.
Alternatively, a home with a spacious garden where she can relax without the need for a lead may be suitable.
Matilda has been vaccinated, microchipped, spayed, and health-checked by a vet. She is located in Stoke On Trent.
