Mavis is a 1 year old female French Bulldog. This girl loves people, she is happy to interact and enjoys as much attention as she can get from anyone. A home with older teenagers would be best as Mavis is reactive with other dogs whilst out and about.
Mavis is fine with cats so provided any felines are dog savvy there should be no issues. Whilst Mavis is currently in foster with other dogs, she can be reactive on initial meetings, it is possible that she would be fine with a laid back male who will ignore or perhaps even enjoy her bossy ways! It is also equally possible that she will be quite happy as an only dog.
To this end we will consider applications both with and without resident dogs. There are no known health issues. She is a great girl who has adjusted into the foster home well, she is clean in the house and is not destructive when left for short periods. She is happy on the sofa or comfy in a bed or the garden watching the world go by.
Mavis is very reactive to other dogs whilst she is on lead, it is possible with continued training and practice that she may eventually get over this but it will require patient and experienced owners who are prepared to work on this issue with her. There will not be a quick fix and so we would love to hear from applicants experienced in dealing with reactivity on lead.
She will need owners who are around for a good part of the day and who have breed experience. She will make a wonderful pet but currently she does need some work on her reactivity. New owners must be able to demonstrate that they can commit fully to working through this with Mavis and not giving up.
Mavis has been neutered, vaccinated and micro chipped. She is up to date with flea and worming treatment. Fostered in Mychett Surrey.
Potential adopters will be expected to travel to Mychett Surrey to meet Mavis.
