Max is such a big daft lump! He’s a gorgeous one year old male Rottweiler cross German Shepherd Dog who needs a new home through no fault of his own. He’s a young bouncy boy but will make the perfect addition to a loving family. He barks at new people but soon settles and wants to play.
Looking for a home with children 5+ as he’s not been around young children and given his size and exuberance would skittle them all over! His tail never stops wagging and he loves bringing you his toys – be warned if you adopt this boy you will be presented with a soggy dinosaur regularly!
He’s playful around other dogs except he’s not keen on small yappy ones. Not suited to living with cats. He’s okay to be left for reasonable periods. Pulls a little on the lead but this could soon be worked on. He travels fine for short journeys but not been on longer ones. He neutered, vaccinated and chipped and currently in Doncaster.
*Update November 2019*
Max came into our care last weekend and it’s obvious that he is a very nervous boy who seems to be terrified of anything stick like – garden rake, crutches, anything long. He’s unsure of new people but soon warms to them and the best way to be his friend is to throw a tennis ball for him. He’s a 14 month old German Shepherd cross Rottweiler and in the right home he is going to make the most perfect boy but he does need time and patience.
We think a home with older children only given how nervous he is. He seems fine with other dogs but can’t live with cats. He’s a big lad and once he trusts you he is such a buffoon. He’s playful and giddy but doesn’t walk too badly on his lead. He’s fine in the car and okay to be left at home for reasonable periods of time.
