Maximus is a 6 month old male Labrador Cross. Maximus and his sibling were dumped like bags of rubbish at the side of a busy road in rural Hungary 2 months ago. They were shaking, trembling and frightened to death when found. It took the rescue team 2 days to capture them. He may grow slightly bigger but only a few centimeters. Maximus has beautiful shiny black coat with some brown/brindle markings on the legs that is easy to maintain. He is somewhat braver than his sister but he will need to gain some more confidence once in his new home.
He is very gentle and sweet natured who melts everyone’s hearts with that vulnerable look in his eyes. We want to find him a caring home where he can feel safe and well looked after for the rest of his life. Maximus is friendly and sociable with dogs and gets along well with all dogs he currently spends his days with. He is medium energy level, well trainable and nicely cooperating with humans. He is not being walked on the lead currently so he will need some training on that. He will also need to be properly house trained as he currently lives outside and is getting inside the house only occasionally.
As he is still very young, he could easily adapt to most households and environments. Maximus would be best suited with a family without or with children over 10 where he is not left alone for long periods of time and there’s time for his training. His family will need to be patient and give him time to settle and gently introduce him to this new world around him. His future family will need to continue his socialization and training so he can become a happy and well behaved adult dog that they can be proud of! He could easily live with a friendly doggie mate to keep him company, but he would equally be happy living with his humans to care for him only.
Maximus comes fully vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, flea and tick treated, with an EU passport and DEFRA approved paperwork. The right owners will need to agree to have him neutered.
