Meitha is a 2 year old brown female Saluki cross who was born in December 2021.

She was rescued as a puppy off the streets of Muscat with her mum and 3 siblings. Sadly, they were all very sick with Parvo and two of her siblings died.

Meitha however survived and has had no health issues since recovering from Parvo.

Meitha is currently at our shelter in Oman and shares her kennel part time with her friend Ghost. Meitha is a people dog and would much rather have a home to herself so she does not need to worry about other dogs around her.

She does not particularly enjoy their company (apart from Ghost).

We had all our dogs in a boarding facility while our new shelter was being built and Meitha lost 6kg from the stress of being around the other dogs.

She is a calm dog who likes to spend her days relaxing and sunbathing.

She would absolutely love a garden to sun herself in. She would better suit a more rural location where she can have quiet sniffy walks without bumping into other dogs.

We aren’t sure what she is like with cats or children but can test both if needed.

Meitha is fully vaccinated, spayed and will be ready for travel to the UK in August 2024.

All dogs rehomed via this rescue will be vaccinated, neutered/spayed and microchipped. Home checks apply and full post adoption support is offered.

Our dogs are rescued from the streets of Oman where they live terrible lives, often suffering abuse, starvation, fatal car accidents and victims of shootings.

They’re primarily wadi dogs, a type of mixed breed sighthound and make wonderful pets. They’re incredibly loyal, loving and intelligent.
