Mic is a 6-7 year old male Spaniel Cross. He is a little bit of an enigma to us, in many ways he’s the perfect little dog, he’s a happy, sociable and incredibly loving little dog that loves absolutely nothing more than being curled up on your knee. He almost leaps in to your arms when you come in to the room, he loves his walks and is brilliant on the lead, he loves to meet new people and dogs when out and about and he’s great with the other dogs in the house, happy to play or just to snuggle up with them.
And here comes the but. Wether its the Spaniel in his make up, or having lived a life where manners didn’t matter, we don’t know, he can be a little bit protective over his favourite things, in his foster home this has only resulted in a couple of grumbles which is sharply corrected and he is whisked in to time out with out an issue, but in a recent home placement it did result in him biting the man in the house while playing with a toy, we don’t know if he saw the throwing move as aggressive or if he lost his temper or if he was just over excited and doesn’t know how to share.
Mic is a delightful little dog with so many lovely qualities, we absolutely love him here in his foster home, he needs an experienced adult only home who are going to give him firm boundaries and guidance, he has the potential to be the most amazing little dog and the effort will be well worth the while. Mic is fostered in South Shields.
