Mike is an 8 month old male Dachshund Cross. He was found dumped on the side of the road in a cardboard box at about 6 weeks of age along with his 5 siblings.
4 of his siblings have now been adopted, but Mike and Dustin are still looking for their forever family.
Mike is the braver of the pair, he is a lovely little chap, he can be shy with strangers initially and takes some time to warm up but he is getting braver every day.
Mike tends to back away on the first encounter but soon he tries to carefully approach you for a stroke.
Mike can still get frightened of loud noises, including noisy kids hence we will not rehome him with young children. He is good around his doggie mates and loves to play.
Mike is a healthy and active pup and he would need a home to improve on his shyness and get the attention he needs.
Mike would be best suited for an adult-only home where there is someone home for most of the day and there is time for his training and socialisation.
Mike could happily live with another friendly balanced dog or be the centre of attention as the only dog in his new home.
Like all rescue dogs, he will need time, patience, love and commitment from his adoptive family to become a happy, well-balanced dog. Experience with rescue dogs preferred.
No first-time owners, please. Mike is currently in Hungary and can travel to the UK as soon as the right family is found for him.
Mike comes fully vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, flea and tick treated, with an EU passport and DEFRA-approved paperwork. The right owner will need to agree to have him neutered once fully grown. Adoption is subject to a Home Check and Adoption fee. Full RBU provided.
